What About Forensic Astrology?

I don't claim to understand, but could there be anything to it? If there were a way to eliminate or reduce the subjective element? I won't list books but you can have a look. I heard a talk on Horary Astrology. The speaker was clever, intuitive, sincere and interesting. Some people suggest that a good astrologer combines charts and theory with intuition. Perhaps they could just as well use something else as a starting point or adjunct.

One practitioner draws a Horary chart for every half-hour around a critical crime scene, and the way she describes events is almost like stills of a film. Subjective maybe, curious yes. Another looked at Moon nodes in charts, and saw that opposite node positions of perpetrator and victim clashed at the critical time. With hindsight, and curious. And some writers suggest fixed stars indicate more in the field of crime when added to a chart. Something that seems worth looking into is when a sadistic couple, for instance, get involved with each other and go on to commit atrocities. Almost like fate, but could one party withdraw?

Some psychics looking at murders say: 'There is no energy of that person with this one', implying a suspect had no involvement in that crime. Apparently astrological charts can bear this out, so might it be useful from that standpoint? We need to bear in mind that, as the saying goes about a little knowledge being a dangerous thing, we don't have enough relevant facts, there can be blips, bias, and so on. To build up knowledge, even with hindsight and adding in further developments sounds worthwhile.

If the stars in their courses are involved in our lives, could that be affecting how we feel, where we go and what we do, and how people come together at a particular time? I don't believe in trying to predict or influence, because mostly in life we have to make decisions based on what is available, and to do things whatever the day and whether we feel like it. Ever sat an exam or a driving test, or had to go to court? I have had clusters of occurrence that changed the course of the future big-time, seemingly by chance or coincidence, but running through to other sections over time. A chart done for me by an intuitive friend many years ago, caused her to say more than once 'Be very careful what you write. I have never had anything so strongly.' Moment of truth, years down the line...
Someone spends a lot of time and effort, firstly in learning a skill like astrology, and then on working with a chart, so acknowledgement is due to them, but no-one should take undue financial advantage of those coming to them for guidance, or give categoric advice that could cause harm or take them off course. Some people who use intuition in their work find they lose their skill if they do start charging a fee.

If readers are sceptical about astrology and psychism, it's easy to be dismissive. I recently had a sort-out and found some charts. Some did pick out an interesting factor mixed in with much that was way off. All missed a crucial event. The friend who did my main chart mentioned a couple of areas that could be problematic, which turned out valid. A psychic lady went straight to an issue that others missed or misconstrued. I told people nothing. One man decreed I'd clearly messed up my whole life by not doing something. I believe there are generally other factors and avenues for people later. I was fortunate to meet a wide range of people, and my husband encouraged me to do what interested me, even though he might have concerns. Do I now think people should prey on others who want to know what's happening? You get one guess. Why was I involved with psychics? It largely was happening around me, but there was also seeking answers when vulnerable, as happens to a lot of people, and often a factor in being more susceptible to influence from cults, scams, etc.

I also worked in places where things were weird or manipulative. I mentioned a destructive situation to my father, who said 'When there's a bad spirit in a place, it's very hard to know what to do.' I think he meant it in the sense of a dynamic or a split. Exploitation does not always have a financial element, but is more a sense of influence or power, or seeing if they can get away with it. I never get involved in the game-playing of others, which has been both a protection, or occasionally red rag to a bull. Here's a couple of books to have fun with:

Do People Have Souls?

I believe so, although I am not particularly religious. I believe it is important that people are allowed and helped to make up their own minds, make their own mistakes even. There has been talk in counselling circles over whether people should be given advice. Giving advice is not a part of counselling and therapy, though some situations may differ, so long as it is used wisely. I find that, whatever a situation looks like, things can alter significantly. The best person to handle decisions is the person whose life it is. Something may look like a dead cert; often it is not.

The best healer can be someone who comes along in a person's life, and a relationship forms. Even if it breaks up, with luck it leaves the individual strong enough to make decisions for themselves that may also affect others. Obviously, these things can work out adversely for an individual, but it can also work miracles.

Cults, Controlling Relationships

When someone gets drawn into a relationship with an individual with a strong imbalance of power, or where a guru-type cult-leader, or a cultic group is involved, attempts are made to control increasing amounts and areas of individuals' lives. There are some excellent books and blogs about these issues. In essence, the leader sets him- or herself up as a kind of demigod - who has to be obeyed and never questioned. To my mind, that is where souls come into it. Somehow the leader gains power, and has increasingly to exert control. Some notorious and devastating cults seem to have begun with high ideals and quite ordinary behaviour.

Some business enterprises can become similar in effect. One of the main problems with a controlling spouse, or boss, or group leader, is that friends may see what is happening and sound an alarm, which falls on deaf ears. Their friend has got well and truly hooked, and cannot hear anything or anyone else. It can happen fast; alternatively the build-up is slow and insidious.

In closing this section, I'll just mention that some powerful cults began by portraying themselves as beneficial therapy groups. They worked, but very destructively. One cannot help but wonder if that is their real purpose, to get in under the radar to the Soul. You've heard the phrase about capturing Hearts & Minds. If the game-plan is to 'capture' Souls, leaving no route out for those selected, that could explain a thing or two. If some higher echelon in a cult or in wider society, reckons that sexual abuse of youngsters particularly, seriously hampers their development and wellbeing, does that explain even more? As to whether perpetrators (or some faction behind the scenes) actually gains power or strength through these activities, we do not know.

Another catchy phrase is Divide & Conquer, where factions are set up so as not to get-it-together, see the picture and cooperate, or go against each other, argue Yes, there's lots of abuse - believe survivors, or No, no proof - back under the carpet. The same thing has happened over ritual abuse. A convenient plan, for some? A plan nonetheless.

Watch yourself. Protect yourself.

Personal Responsibility

When people write about reincarnation or past lives, they may wax lyrical on the glamour of certain eras or quests, and that some groups of people tend to come together in groups. It can be very offputting to those who are excluded, or have no guidelines as to what life is about, what they're meant to be doing and so on. Why does any of it matter? Perhaps because people can get drawn into things that aren't what they really believe in, and would not otherwise have responsibility for. It can happen so easily, for one reason or another, or simply inexplicably. Unless we are careful. Sometimes people share living accommodation, which has an impact on things like boundaries and privacy, and I've seen people lose parts of their individuality or identity.

Some of the most down-to-earth writers on esoteric subjects, advise people to make up their own minds about what matters in their circumstances, and just  keep doing the best they can.

Searching for Meaning

This is getting into an area I had no intention of starting on, and will leave readers to continue. I have listed writers on some esoteric subjects you may wish to follow up. If people have souls, then they may also have other lives in other times & places, other themes or tasks, other explanations. Believe or reject or leave for now.

When I became concerned over accounts of ritual abuse, I went to lectures, mixed around, got shed-loads of books, my usual efforts towards getting answers to questions. I sat at a talk where suddenly the lecturer said he thought some experiences of multiple personalities were likely to be when people got 'stuck in their archetypes', and we spoke afterwards. It is over my head and not my usual way of thinking. However I feel it worth considering. Also people can act as though they are influenced by characters on-screen or in books, and emulate people they come across. So what really is character or personality, today and many years down the line? I've known people who became very different. I changed a lot. Have you?

Just as we do different things at different times in the day, we will have different emphasis or purpose at different times of life, handling things as best we can. There are likely to be a few people who tend to help, or some who hinder. The stuff of myth and fairy tales perhaps.

On Protection

It is an individual matter, and can involve some trial and error: Make-it-up as You-go-Along. People are more likely to be psychic or sensitive if a parent was. Or protected, or whatever. But people can read up, listen to others, and think on. Whether people see UFOs or not can run in families. People I've known who were brought up on a farm seemed very intuitive. No-one should ever use their gifts to scare you, or to make money from you or take advantage of you. Bear in mind that they can also be Wrong!

You can make sure that you have good locks, that no-one can see right in your windows, that you are careful over the Internet & what you say. In my early employment days, I went for an interview where the owner said 'Be careful what you say, because there are people here who pry.' I recently broke contact with someone I'd known for years. She acted as though incompetent in her own life, while fixating on me and anyone I ever mentioned, forgetting nothing. She was stringing along professional helpers who liked and supported her, but reinforced her helplessness till it was too late: It seems more likely she was the 'professional player'. It felt I was being goaded for playground sport, as happens on social media with a vengeance. Bullying can be subtle or covert, sometimes a way of grooming.

The person feels they can behave as they wish, while implying no-one can do anything: They are useful to the workplace, or not well, elderly, vulnerable, can't handle a challenge or row. My guess is I am now being put-down to others as the new name-of-the-game. Why would I not gently say something? People need their defence mechanisms, but one doesn't have to collude with them, and in my view to do so is inappropriate. In a work setting you may have to grin & bear some things, but try to maintain boundaries. Teamwork and seamlessness are not my favourite words. In some jobs you are never expected to draw a line. Is that a con? Organisations that focus inwards are more likely to go to the wall. My contact who focussed on the minutiae of my life, made it harder for me to get on with more important issues. When this happens in workplaces, it's like fiddling while Rome burns. You can watch employees who actually seem to want the organisation to go to the wall, and you along with.

Hint: If you go for a job interview or similar, and they harp on about behaviour or inadequacies of your predecessor, or how quickly they were shown the door... be careful, though naturally different people fit into different slots. The same sort of thing applies when someone you think pretty decent, makes snide comments about other people, or their inadequacies, not just once but often.

Watch out for infringement of your boundaries. Sometimes others form a kind of 'unholy alliance' to undermine others. Quite why reasonably attractive people, in good health, capable, in employment, having apparently good relationships, living in nice homes, find it necessary in any way to target people who are less fortunate, is a mystery! I guess it harks back to playground days. Maybe it just follows what appears to be the line of least resistance - until that fights back, or simply ignores it.

If you juggle several aspects about something or someone, you will see the mosaic before others. If you feel uneasy, you can only do your best to fulfil a role. Find a way to withdraw if you need to. People can maintain a camouflage for a very long time. Sometimes an obsession develops and settles on you. Occasionally a perceptive other person sees it and backs you up, but usually it is down to you to pick up the pieces. The simplest way to describe some of this is 'living vicariously' through someone else, which is a natural part of life so long as it doesn't go too far over boundaries and become oppressive. Relationships take many forms, and we usually settle on getting along with some leeway. You may manage to renegotiate, or you may not.

If you are being stalked physically or emotionally, or something like it happens online, there are useful books on Amazon, and anti-stalking advice online. Stalking is an obsession. It can be dangerous, and you need to be careful. Don't engage.

If you are in a situation of domestic violence, get good advice. Also explore coercive control.

If you become the target of an emotional, underhanded onslaught from someone, take steps to protect yourself and your home the best ways you can. If you feel more comfortable with, say, rabbit or dinosaur ornaments on the shelf, try it. Some things seem to work without being part of an ideological framework. (Maybe that is why they do.) Get curtains you like, or some material to drape over. Work on your own environment, learning as you do. What I can tell you, is it will puzzle them when their antics don't work. I liken it to pulling down the shutters and closing up shop.

No more deals possible.

An important Footnote: A pretty young woman walked up to me at a meeting, and said she needed advice on controlling her mind. For some reason I asked if she meant herself, or someone else doing it to her. Quick as a flash, a 90-year old gentleman nearby said 'Someone has built a bridge towards you, and you need to find how to stop him.'

Is it something in my stars that I've been at the butt end of people's weirdness, and have collected snippets along the way? The psychic friend who did my chart gave more advice. I am not psychic, but had bought things at a sale and one made me uncomfortable. My friend, who one might think would never allow random items within a mile, said 'I shove things in a strong black binbag and tie the top.' Several books I ordered that gave off the same feeling, were relegated straight to the shed. So don't necessarily think you must be imagining things, or cannot do anything about them.

Did you ever prepare to get to an event or to meet someone, get halfway there or right to the door, and turn around? Or fall asleep and miss the train? Sometimes one hears about what happened there, and thanks those 'lucky stars'.

You may have reached this page in the hope of finding some strategy to help you through a dire personal situation. My best advice is to try to avoid getting drawn into relationships or activities that could turn problematic. I know things can happen very fast, but keep a weather eye open, ready to extract yourself. People tried to involve me in an occult group that advertised in a London newspaper. Other times I attended various introductory lectures, and held discussion groups. More than one person warned me about other activities that some members engaged in. So be careful. Not everything/everyone are as they seem, and you may be happy with some things but not others. Reading the work of authors who got more deeply involved and 'duped', they seem to take an avoidance path, cutting themselves off from those people, rather than confronting them. When running our own groups, the next couple of dates were given out, but no further into the future than that.

There are indications that emotional suffering such as from bullying, ostracism, shunning, rejection, or breakup of a love affair, can cause people to feel as they would with physical pain. The physiological indications are very similar. See the work of Professor Kipling Williams.

Shunning is used in cults to keep people in line. It causes a great deal of pain, splitting up families and isolating people. Scientology calls their version of showing disapproval and causing punishment 'Fair Game', words which have become common in describing vengeance. Is it a fair route to follow? Is it worth it?

Are We All a Bit Psychic?

I've always thought I am not, but recall instances in workaday life, walking into a room where people have been talking about me, and my knowing it. Or it is like someone cut the room down the middle with a knife. When we put our house up for sale and someone walked round in our absence, I could feel their antagonism. I certainly don't always get things right. In a practical sense, it can save you hassle. Sitting on a train with my thoughts all over the place, I became aware of a man opposite who kept pulling at his leather gloves, and it was like him boring a hole into my calf. I shot off the train at the next station and belted along the platform to another carriage. Admittedly it was at a time when women were being attacked on London trains.

Some people can lull me into feeling that they are fine to be with, which can turn out very wrong. At times I reacted badly to someone at work, then formed a friendship with them after leaving. I had a knack of knowing if someone was good at art or something, or walking into a bookshop and heading straight for something, hardly looking before buying. I had a psychic friend I called Mr. O. He said he was always a material person, very active till his fifties, when he realised he could heal people with his hands. He used to charge up tissues just passing them through his hands, and sent them to people. His first thought was always what someone else might need. He and some friends formed a group which met at a particular time weekly to send out healing. One day, for some reason like appalling weather, they could not meet, and the recipient group asked 'What happened? We could not feel anything.' He was very good with people's photos, picking up pets that had passed on, even if they were not in the picture at all.

I was fascinated by people with a psychic sense, and the idea that if, for instance one had an idea or a problem, someone might be able to sense it, or actually see it hanging around. There may be people with a certain physical or psychological make-up that enables others to pick up things that they've been brooding about, or they may be sensitive enough to suss things out about us. If we could see it ourselves, we'd understand what we were sensing - it might actually 'be there'. I went to a student meeting on a course I was embarking on, in a lovely basement room in someone's home. I tried not to be put off by her husband having a skull on one of the shelves, but what struck me more was the furniture giving off something that was not just a smell of polish. Fortunately we never went back there.

Below is a rather scary image of a book:

If you search around you can download a free .pdf version with drawings that make it more meaningful. Some of it is along the lines of the Leadbeater book on thoughtforms, emotions and so on. It could be that there are collections of energy either in someone's aura, or present nearby, or linked, that we actually are reacting to as if we could see them with ordinary sight. Another avenue to look at is things like entities or servitors, that are created with a specific task to perform. How do we know that some people don't just do this automatically to fulfil a need, without ever opening a magic book? It's my belief this happens more than we know.

Some families have strong traditions, and may have violent emotions. It sometimes seems these pass from generation to generation, with positive or negative consequences, having significant effects on those they come in contact with. It is not at a conscious level, and therefore may be more powerful, so the impact on others can be very much like a deliberate curse. OK, so you don't believe in them, but wait till you meet something otherwise inexplicable! Then start looking to some form of protection.

Next, I draw your attention to author Mark Stavish. He is an esoteric writer and has a YouTube channel, but is able to explain things in a way that ordinary folks can understand. He writes about egregores, or group-minds of various kinds What interested me is his little book on polgergeists and obsessions, with sections on other authors whose work I had turned to in an attempt to get an inkling. I also have a thing about protecting oneself, and he has another book on that.

There seem to be situations and people, where none of the usual ideas work to explain things, or to improve them for someone, or for oneself. I don't believe in messing about in things I do not understand, but unless we consider some things outside-the-box, we will never learn.

Bear with me while I digress some more: Some writers are into Earth energies and so on, and one would have to be pretty hard-nosed not to consider that these, plus Planetary energies or configurations could explain some of the otherwise inexplicable.

To get back to where this all started:

Are we effectively 'cuckooed' by other people's needs, conscious or not? Do they somehow infiltrate some of our own brain (or other) circuits, so that we don't really know what to think for a while? Is this how cults work? or coercive situations like scams, or fraudulent relationships? See recent tweet -

Is stalking a kind of scam, a cuckooing of one's life?

Update at Groups, Minds & Beliefs: Protection & Boundaries

Full Circle: Wrapping Things Up

When I was knee-high to a grasshopper,  I played with a young friend I'll call Val. Her father worked at the local college, and we had the run of the grounds and shrubberies. No Internet in those days, so we played fairies and witches all over the place. One day Val was being a nasty fairy or witch, and I shouted 'But good always wins'. I like to believe that, but have to admit many bad things happen to people who are described as lighting up a room. I am no roomlighter, but sometimes when I get drawn into something, stuff seems to change. It is not always an easy ride.

I watch or read things that either bore or scare people to death. Have you read about the djinn? Maybe it is something like those, or demons by any other name. If you think strange things can happen, or that one or more of them might contribute to weird behaviour or events, perhaps that is the kind of ballpark. When I write on subjects that are even less outrageous than this, readers vanish. A few are watching this Blog already although it is new. Happened to me before and all kinds of hassle started. Something is jollying this along anyway, so we shall see. Use what you can from here or anywhere, reject anything, and make up your own mind.
There is speculation on conspiracy sites about a tie-in between UFO's, demons, djinn, black magic, and maybe ritual abuse. Who knows? My current thinking is that it might explain a lot about strange and inhuman behaviours, including the kind of things some people claim happen in rituals in darkened woods or under ground. Something at back of these rituals could explain why people who abuse children in rituals or in children's homes, can seem to 'take it or leave it'. The addiction does not take over every aspect of their lives all of the time, which is why it could be your friends or neighbours. You'd never know about it. Do they necessarily? It could be that they enter, or are placed in, an altered state of consciousness.

People may have had to agree to some kind of a deal. It is likely that not all are involved in any or all cult activities, but fulfil a role like passing on information on a cult member's whereabouts, in return for getting some bills paid, or their children's schooling. It could be anything.

Over to anyone who can shed light on some of this darkness.

This Blog was never intended to be anecdotal, and I had no idea where it would go. Often it is small things from conversations on a bus or standing in a queue that link things, or a TV programme happened across. Things are meaningful in different ways, so with the Internet people can find out things to suit them. I took a Psychology degree hoping to find out 'why people do what they do'. Travelling to London, I was in bookshops getting all manner of relevant and irrelevant material. Later, a colleague emphasised that the unconscious drives behaviour. I am now adding in emotions. Skipping many years, I had to wind up what looked like a simple estate but it was not. The solicitor was brilliant with complex stuff, but if I wanted something done for myself, I would do it or get other help. With trepidation I walked down to finalise things with him. Somehow we got chatting about psychism, intuition, chance, psychic detectives, conspiracies, and I emerged over an hour later. We had read the same stuff, much of which I'd sold off and later gone back to. Many of the original theorists got discounted for a while, but are now going strong and much ties in with other findings. Recently I came across 'Ancient Aliens' on TV, watching with half-attention. But then it got into how various cult leaders based their activities on ideas of influence from other beings or realms. Whether or not that could have happened, a lot of people became influenced one way or another.

When it comes to certain crimes, or what most people regard as cruel or senseless behaviour, it can be much the same: acting on a belief or fantasy, or maybe actual experience. A theory I feel worth looking into refers to our endocrine system, which some esoteric writers link to chakras. If it is somehow possible to activate a part of someone's system, or deactivate rational thinking, one can indeed induce very base behaviour. It happens in groups and crowds. Of interest to me, is when an individual, couple or small group, get started on a course of action that seems to take on a life and impetus of its own. Nothing stops the escalation, and only some participants may ever realise what they took part in.

As part of my aim to find out more 'why people do what they do', and with gaps in what sank in during study, I tried some Philosophy classes. That might seem close to Psychology but not at all easy to grasp. A course on emotions was fascinating though I hardly touched the books. One evening the lecturer slipped in that emotions are not entities. Well maybe they aren't, but what if they can sometimes be something like that? Or is that just woolly thinking? Even staid psychic researchers acknowledge that pent-up emotions can produce strange and powerful effects in the real world.

Also relevant is the concept of a group-mind, which some people link to the idea of an egregore. A kind of reality or consensus builds up and, even though other members are not present, people may act in accordance with that reality or belief system. It ties in with what happens in cults, workplaces and so on. Some cultures place importance on family and ancestors, and believe that current family members may be strongly influenced by traumas or actions of predecessors, or can be possessed by them, or by other forces. There is also a term 'overshadowing', where one seems to write or do something from out of nowhere, as if influenced by something 'other'. And many people have experienced a kind of telepathy with a person they are close to, simply knowing when something is wrong in their life.

You may or may not believe in Souls, but it is of vital importance to protect your boundaries, and not get caught up in what others are up to, who may have a trick up their sleeve and know how to manipulate others, for good or ill. Some sensitivities or traits do seem to be hereditary, and we can only do our best to make sense of them. If you have had a family member who suddenly behaves differently, or can no longer manage certain tasks, it can seem as though they somehow use your circuits for getting by. Similarly, you may share office space with someone who, through no fault of their own, has mood swings or is just not functioning well. Try to get some time and space for yourself. Some people may have insight into what is wrong with them, and others not.

Assault on the Mind

About ten years ago, a stalking case raised the issue of GBH or Actual Bodily assault to the mind, a kind of psychiatric injury or trauma. I remember having high hopes we'd be able to use it in cases of cult trauma or influence. Someone who was deeply harassed by a powerful cult member, asked if it is possible to suffer PTSD due a person. I believe so in principle, though am sure other people would draw technical distinctions of definition.

Any ideas? - apart from the effect bad bosses have on their staff?

Or nosy neighbours?

Know your own limits. A recent episode of Perry Mason showed him saying 'I've just been taken for a prize booby', so it happens to us all once in a while.

In the past, I had stalking attention in a workplace setting on late shifts, though am no spring chicken and don't dress up. People didn't believe me, till one day the boss said 'That guy only comes in when you're here on your own.' I said 'Yes, and could I have a lock on my door, and a chain on that one.' The same man appeared at a subsequent crazy late-hour stint of employment. Any attempt to brush a stalker off or to show annoyance, simply registers as interaction, so watch yourself and don't talk to them. Stalking is a way of controlling aspects of their target's life, a kind of cuckooing, with far-reaching effects.

Most pages have a selection of relevant books that you may not have come across, including on coronavirus, End Times, mind control - what we're calling Mindcluk, cuckooing of the mind.

Cuckooing of the Mind

There are various methods of trying to take control over someone, starting with gaining trust or sympathy. We may do some of this in the normal way of things, perhaps trading one thing for another in a relationship. Done with skill and intent, it becomes immoral and dishonest: misrepresentation - i.e. a veritable scam, or fraud. Starting from small beginnings, it can overtake the mark's life, or soul. Another way of viewing The Mark of the Beast? Is this how Cults work?

Tell someone else if you find yourself in an awkward situation; and get some support. Some things may die down over time. Some do not. Don't see anyone manipulative alone. They appear to have no concept of boundaries, but they know exactly how to crash them! You could get someone to wait outside for you, so you can see them or their car. I have a dislike of psychological labels, so have been rather longwinded - You can take a shortcut and search for female narcissism. Not all of it will fit, but you'll see none of it is basically your fault. Also see the work of Joe Navarro on 'Dangerous Personalities'.
